It is a legal requirement that gas cooking appliances should not be switched on without the extractor fans being in operation. This is to avoid dangerous fumes and gases remaining within the system and cooking areas. It is also vital that when your kitchen fire suppression system is activated that the source of heat i.e. gas and/or electrics are shut down to avoid re-ignition of a fire source.

The purpose of the Telegan Safety Interlock panel is to co-ordinate these functions and to see that the staff follow a safe start up and operation of the system.
